Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities

1. System Management and Planning Function

1.1. To establish and operate the communication and network infrastructure required by the university in line with legal procedures.

1.2. To ensure and control network security in accordance with legal procedures.

1.3. To provide management and control of related Antivirus software.

1.4. To examine the external factors that will affect the university's services.

1.5. Identifying new service opportunities in line with legal procedures, taking measures against threats that prevent effectiveness and efficiency.

1.6. Conducting in-house capacity research, analyzing the effectiveness of services and beneficiary satisfaction, and conducting general research.

1.7. To provide services in line with legal procedures by acting proactively according to the new conditions that will occur, and to improve the quality of these services.

1.8. To carry out the research and development activities related to the field of duty of the Presidency in accordance with the rules in line with the legal procedures. 

1.9. To collect, classify and analyze information and data related to the activities of the Presidency.

1.10. To ensure the storage, security and backup of the data produced by the university in line with legal procedures.

2 Software Development and Management Functions

2.1. To develop software applications suitable for the data access needs of the administration, in line with the demands and needs of the university, in line with legal procedures.

2.2. To support these applications.

2.3. To plan the access authorizations of the data to be generated by these applications.

2.4. To produce reports and analyzes about these applications.
 

3. Hardware Systems Function

3.1. Used within the university and owned by the institution; To ensure healthy and safe operation by providing support services to computers, printers, network switches and all peripheral equipment in line with legal procedures.

3.2. To request service for these devices, if necessary, from the relevant institutions in line with legal procedures.

3.3. To perform statistical recording and quality control procedures related to hardware support and service.

3.4. To carry out feasibility studies to determine the requirements of all information technologies that will be needed in line with the legal procedures in the university units, to prepare the relevant technical specifications and to forward them to the relevant unit/units.
