Announcement Regarding the CrowdStrike Outages Worldwide on July 19, 2024

On July 19, 2024, a blue screen error occurred on Windows servers of institutions and organizations using the CrowdStrike product worldwide due to an update released by the manufacturer.

The relevant manufacturer has provided a technical explanation regarding the solution. The following steps can be applied to resolve the issue.

Solution Steps:

• Start Windows in Safe Mode or Windows Recovery Environment.

• Navigate to the C:WindowsSystem32driversCrowdStrike directory.

• Find and delete the file starting with “C-00000291*.sys.”

• Restart the computer normally.
